An 18 year old single malt from Highland Park on Orkney. In 2017 the bottle was redesigned, taking its livery from the wood carvings of Urnes Stave Church and gaining the sub-name Viking Pride. The whisky inside is unchanged.
The nose is full of ripe floral notes and fresh blossom, with fruit salad and honeyed exotic fruits and a little botrytis. The palate is creamy and full, with fruit conserves, espresso, cinnamon, allspice, toffee, black forest honey and a touch of citrus. The finish is long and well sugared, with a herbal edge.
