Highland Park – 18 Year Old (70cl, 43%)

An Orkney single malt matured for 18 years, bottled at 43% ABV in Highland Park's refreshed packaging. The whisky itself was not reformulated for the new design. It is naturally coloured, its amber hue coming entirely from the casks. A higher proportion of first-fill Sherry-seasoned European oak adds depth, fruit and spice, alongside Sherry-seasoned American oak and refill casks. Heather-infused peat smoke runs through it. The nose opens with ripe baked cherries and bittersweet dark chocolate. Salted honeycomb and candied orange peel bring sweetness and citrus, with gentle peat smoke and a touch of sea spray.
