This is a 32-year-old Highland Park single malt from 1989, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice series. The whisky matured in a single refill sherry butt for more than three decades and was bottled in December 2021 at 51.9% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings black cherries, golden sugar, nutmeg, orange zest, pressed apples and smoke. On the palate come fruit cake, dried tobacco, butterscotch, mint and red apples.
