Highland Park 21 Year Old in its 2022 release is a single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The vatting brings together first-fill European oak casks that held Oloroso sherry, first-fill American oak casks that also held Oloroso, and a small share of refill casks.
The nose is described as heather honey, ripe oranges, sun-dried raisins and a light touch of peat smoke. The palate is creamy, with gingerbread, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, exotic spices and gentle sweet smoke. The finish is long and warming, with dried fruit and oak spice.
