This is a 40 year old single malt from Highland Park, in a 70cl bottle and released in 2019. It was drawn from just five refill casks that were set aside before 1979.
The nose is smoky and spicy, with nutmeg, and moves on to dark chocolate and dark fruits. On the palate there is heather peat smoke alongside creamy toffee and more dark chocolate, and the finish is long.
