Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 2 is the second batch in a series first introduced in 2020. This single malt comes in a 70cl bottle and is bottled straight from the cask at 63.9% vol.
Most of the whisky matured in European sherry-seasoned casks, alongside American oak and a few bourbon casks.
Peat smoke on the nose comes with roses, juicy pear and coconut. The palate brings almond cake, poached pear, creamy honey and salted liquorice. The finish is very long, with toasted oak, ripe fruit, black pepper and sweet aniseed.
