Dragon Legend is a single malt from Highland Park, the Orkney distillery. It is bottled at 43% and is smokier than the distillery's usual style, because the malt is peated more heavily than is normal for Highland Park.
It was matured in a combination of European and American oak casks that previously held sherry, which brings the fruit.
The nose is dense peat smoke over citrus peel, honey, vanilla, woody notes and fiery spice. The palate is full-bodied and smoky, with warm spice, vanilla biscuits, honey and fresh citrus. The finish is long, smoky and spicy.
