Highland Park – Heather Cask Strength (75cl, 63.6%)

Highland Park Heather Cask Strength is a single malt from the Highland Park distillery in Kirkwall, on Orkney's main island, in a 75cl bottle. It is bottled undiluted at a natural cask strength of 63.6% ABV. The barley is 100% Orkney peat-smoked, and the whisky is drawn from first-fill European and American sherry-seasoned oak casks together with selected refill casks. The peat is heather peat from Hobbister Moor. The nose brings bonfire smoke, vanilla pod, brandy butter and heathered peat. On the palate there is charred marshmallow, macadamia, toasted oak, sherry richness and pepper. The finish is long, with vanilla sweetness, perfumed heather smoke and warming spice.
