A Highland Park single malt from Orkney, bottled for the Schinderhannes Selection. After its first maturation it was finished in a former red wine cask.
The nose combines gentle peat with honey and fruit, including melon and gooseberry.
The palate is well balanced, with sweet fruit, peat and a subtle touch of heather, and the alcohol is well integrated. These flavours carry into a finish that stays present for a long time.
