This is a single cask Highland Park from Orkney, selected for the Austrian market as Austria Edition 4. It is bottled at cask strength, 59.8%, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was distilled in 2008, matured for 12 years in a refill hogshead and bottled in 2021. The outturn is 276 bottles. It is natural and bottled at cask strength.
The nose offers heather honey, vanilla, yellow fruit, citrus zest and light peat smoke. The palate is full and honeyed, with malt, toffee, spicy oak and nutty notes. The finish is long, dry and spicy, with a salty edge and gentle smoke.
