Valfather is a single malt from Highland Park, bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle. It is the last of three Viking Legend special editions, inspired by Odin, the Norse god linked with wisdom, sorcery, poetry, death, wolves and ravens.
It is the distillery's most heavily peated whisky to date, matured entirely in refill casks, and it won Gold at the 2020 World Whisky Awards.
The flavours are sweet apple, pear, crème brûlée, toasted cedarwood and smoked paprika, summed up as sticky smoke.
