Ichiro's Malt & Grain World Blended Whisky 505 is a limited version of the Ichiro's blend, with the malt content and the strength raised. It is bottled at 50.5% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is thick with malt, roasted banana, a little sawdust and the sweetness of honey. Orange and apple come through on the palate with malty, bourbon-cask sweetness, a hint of salt and bitterness, and vanilla behind. The strength keeps the edges sharp and the heat up. The finish is dry and hearty, with oak, nuts and a little sherry.
