This is a world blended whisky from Ichiro Akuto, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. He selected the casks by hand from around the world.
The blend is aged for a further one to three years at his Chichibu Distillery, established in 2004, in large wooden barrels made by the French cooper Taransaud. It is non-chill filtered and uncoloured.
The nose has peach, vanilla, lychee, lemon and banana. The palate is light and crisp, with lemon squash, chestnuts, toffee and pineapple. The finish brings toffee, lemon, tobacco and a hint of nutmeg.
