Jack Daniel's Bottled in Bond is a Tennessee whiskey in a 1 litre bottle, bottled at 50% abv (100 proof). It looks back to the 1890s: Jack Daniel began using his square bottle in 1895, and the US government passed the Bottled in Bond Act in 1897. The Bottled in Bond designation applies only to whiskey aged for at least four years, distilled in a single season at one distillery and bottled at 100 proof. This one is charcoal mellowed through ten feet of sugar maple and aged in handcrafted American white oak barrels. It is described as rich and bold.
