This is a 10 year old single malt from Dailuaine, bottled by James Eadie at 48.3% in a 70cl bottle. It is among the first whiskies to join the independent bottler's core range.
After ten years of maturation in total, the whisky was finished in European oak oloroso sherry casks.
The nose offers stewed plums, apple and rhubarb crumble, chocolate raisins and leathery oak. On the palate, cooked plums and peaches sit with toasted marzipan and sherry-soaked sultanas. The finish brings clove, cinnamon snaps, chocolate fondant, root ginger, chilli heat, liquorice and cardamom.
