This is an 18-year-old Irish whiskey from Jameson, bottled at 55.1% (110.2 proof) in a 750ml bottle. Each bottle is individually numbered.
It was matured in hand-selected oak casks from Europe and America, then finished in first-fill bourbon barrels, which add subtle vanilla to a mellow whiskey.
The nose has aromatic oils with a touch of wood and spicy toffee. The palate is smooth and mellow, with fudge, toffee, spice, hints of wood and leather, vanilla and a gentle sherry nuttiness. The finish is long, carrying wood, spice and toffee through to the end.
