Kentucky Owl Batch 7 is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey bottled at 59% (118 proof). The label calls it The Wise Man's Bourbon and carries a bottle number from the batch.
The brand traces back to 1879, when pharmacist Charles Mortimer Dedman built the C.M. Dedman Distillery on land by the Kentucky River, a wedding gift from his adopted father, a town judge. For decades the distillery made The Wise Man's Bourbon, and it held Distilled Spirits Plant number 16.
