Kujira Ryukyu 15 Year Old Single Grain Whisky

Kujira Ryukyu is a Japanese single grain whisky distilled from 100% rice and matured in Okinawa for more than 15 years. The casks are sherry, bourbon and American white oak. Okinawa's subtropical climate gives warm, humid storage conditions, which speed up maturation and bring subtle fruity and botanical flavours with a dense texture. The nose offers dried plums and candied fruit with mint and chocolate. On the palate there is chocolate, vanilla and honey, then spice, a little smoke and toasty bread. Liquorice and pepper lead into a clean, long finish.
