Laphroaig Cairdeas 2024 is a 10-year-old Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition release, bottled at a fixed strength of 52.4% ABV.
The whisky draws on the casks of two earlier releases: the 2019 Triple Wood and the 2021 PX Cask.
The palate is rich, sweet and oily, with smoked orange toffee, stewed peaches and smouldering campfire. Dried fruit is balanced by coffee grounds and liquorice root, leading to a long, slightly herbal finish.
