Laphroaig Quarter Cask is an Islay single malt that begins its maturation in ex-bourbon barrels. While still ageing, it is transferred into small quarter casks.
The smaller casks give the spirit more contact with the wood, which brings hints of coconut, banana and vanilla. They sit alongside the smoky peat of the Laphroaig character, balanced by a surprising sweetness.
