Laphroaig – Strong Characters 33 Year Old

Laphroaig Strong Characters 33 Year Old is an Islay single malt that marks the people who shaped the distillery. This edition honours co-founder Donald Johnston, who set up Laphroaig with his brother Alexander in 1815. He appears in an illustration by the artist Bill Bragg on the packaging, and Bragg will illustrate each edition in the series. The whisky was aged for 33 years in a combination of American oak barrels and European oak sherry hogsheads, which gives it a smoky character and robust flavour.
