Leiper's Fork – Bourbon Single Barrel #123 UK Exclusive Cask Strength (70cl, 59.4%)

This is a single barrel Tennessee bourbon from Leiper's Fork Distillery, drawn from Barrel #123 and chosen for the UK market. It is bottled unfiltered at a natural cask strength of 59.4%. The mash bill is 70% corn, 15% wheat and 15% malted barley, which gives a rounder profile than rye-led bourbons. It matured for 8 years and 5 months in a new American oak barrel. The nose shows caramelised sugar, vanilla bean and toasted oak with baked orchard fruits and cinnamon. The palate has toffee, honey, roasted nuts and dark fruit, with oak spice and creamy wheat sweetness. The finish is long, with vanilla, charred oak, baking spice and a little tobacco.
