A 16 year old Highland single malt from Loch Lomond, released in the Waypoint Series, which draws on landmarks around Loch Lomond. This edition is named after the Falls of Falloch and is bottled at 46.2% in a 70cl bottle.
It spent 16 years in ex-bourbon casks of American oak, followed by a finish of several months in first-fill Cognac casks made from French oak.
The nose is floral and citrusy, with juicy pear, soft-cooked grapes, honey and nutmeg. On the palate come ripe peach, apricot jam and toffee, with fine spice, French oak and candied orange peel. The finish is long, warm, fruity and spicy.
