Loch Lomond – 18 Year Old (46%)

This is an 18 year old single malt from Loch Lomond, bottled at 46% abv. The spirit was distilled partly in a traditional pot still and partly in the Lomond straight neck pot still, giving a malt with the fruity notes typical of the distillery and a little smoke in the background. The nose is fruity and spicy, with grapefruit, green apple and oak. On the palate it is full-bodied and balanced, with toasted oak alongside apples and gooseberries, all wrapped in malty honey sweetness. The long finish brings dried tea, tobacco, peat and a hint of smoke.
