Loch Lomond 2010 Vintage Sauternes Cask is a limited edition Highland single malt, distilled in 2010 and matured for 14 years. It is bottled at 50.1% ABV, non-chill filtered and with natural colour, in a 70cl bottle.
The spirit began in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels before a second maturation in 225-litre French oak casks that held Sauternes wine. It was distilled on the distillery's Inchmurrin straight-necked pot stills.
Tasting notes describe lemon drops, Golden Delicious apples, white peach and runny honey on the nose, with vanilla custard and sweet pastry. The palate is creamy and fruit-driven, with baked apple, ripe pear and vanilla slice.
