A 25 year old Highland single malt from Loch Lomond, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The spirit combines distillate from the distillery's traditional swan-neck stills with distillate from its straight-neck stills, which have rectifying plates.
All 25 years were spent in American oak, in ex-bourbon barrels and rejuvenated hogsheads.
The nose offers ripe apricot, orange marmalade, baked apple strudel, bourbon vanilla, blossom honey and lightly toasted oak. The palate is velvety and almost oily, with tropical fruit, soft toffee, brown sugar, nutmeg and a touch of ginger. The finish is very long, with warm fruity sweetness and gentle wood notes.
