Loch Lomond – Single Grain Peated (46%)

Loch Lomond Single Grain Peated is made entirely from heavily peated barley at the Loch Lomond Distillery in Alexandria, south of the loch. It is bottled at 46% abv, a strength at which chill-filtration is not needed. The nose combines cloves, vanilla and dry peat smoke with tart blackcurrants. The palate is sweet and peaty, slightly iodine, with green apple, lime and other citrus. The finish is dry and crisp, with tart blackcurrant and a little peat smoke lingering.
