Loch Lomond – Steam & Fire (70cl)

Steam & Fire is a single malt from Loch Lomond, matured in three types of American oak cask and then given a further 10 months in heavily charred casks. The extra time in char gives the whisky a smoky character, set against rich, sweet notes. The nose has vanilla, toffee and subtle floral hints. On the palate come peaty warmth, charred oak, caramelised fruit and gentle spice. The finish is smoky, long and complex.
