This is a 22 year old single malt Scotch from Loch Lomond, released for The Open Course Collection 2025 in tribute to the legacy of The Open Championship. It was distilled in 2002, and 3,500 bottles were made.
The whisky was matured in American oak casks and then finished in specially toasted virgin Spanish oak.
The nose combines toasted oak, fresh apple, warming ginger and creamy vanilla. The palate opens with rich toffee and ripe pineapple, set against zesty lemon and gentle cinnamon. The finish is long, with warming oak spice and a whisper of soft smoke.
