Loch Lomond The Original Triple Oak is a Highland single malt matured in three kinds of American oak cask: first-fill, refill and re-charred. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
Together the casks give fruit, honey, gentle spice and a little smoke.
Ripe apples and pears lead the nose, with honey, vanilla and light oak spice. The palate is soft and round, with sweet fruit, honey, vanilla and a gentle woody note. The finish is medium in length and warm, with a little smoke and lingering fruit.
