It was matured in a first-fill sherry butt, cask 5294, and bottled at 59.4% ABV. The outturn was 402 bottles, in a 70cl bottle. The nose brings figs, raisins, chocolate, old cognac, melon jam and oriental pastries, with pipe tobacco, tar and gunpowder once water is added. The palate is fresh and zesty, with blood oranges and bananas. The finish is long and fruity, with liqueurs, jams and syrup that stay far from cloying.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
