Longmorn – 1997 22 Year Old Mackillop's Choice Single Cask (70cl, 56.8%)

This is a single cask Longmorn from the 1997 vintage, a Speyside single malt aged 22 years. The whisky matured in one cask until March 2020, then was bottled at cask strength, 56.8%, for the Mackillop's Choice range. The outturn is 86 bottles. The nose is soft, with biscuits, sweet mature malt and toffee, plus a faint hint of Bovril. The palate is richer than the nose suggests, with full sweet malt, toffee and biscuits. The finish is long, sweet and spicy.
