Longmorn – 25 Year Old Centenary Special Limited Edition (70cl, 45%)

This is a 25 year old Longmorn, a Speyside single malt in a limited edition bottled for the distillery's centenary. It was presented to staff and dignitaries, and comes in a 70cl bottle at 45% ABV. It shows the distillery's trademark grapefruit and boiled sweets, with a hint of smoke. The nose is full of grapefruit, with mango, passion fruit and tangerine, coated in milk chocolate and soft spices, with something faintly metallic. On the palate come apricots, very ripe mango, lychee, orange, figs, liquorice, eucalyptus sweets and lemon liqueur, in a big, almost thick body. The finish is very long, with a little drying oak.
