The 2014 edition of Macallan 18 Year Old Sherry Oak, a Speyside single malt from the 1996 vintage, in a 70cl bottle. It matured exclusively in sherry casks from Jerez, and shows dried fruits, ginger, orange peel and leathery sherry character.
The nose brings yellow apricot cream, dark candied fruit, chocolate and vanilla. On the palate are brown sugar, honey, chocolate and latte, with vanilla and woody spices. The finish is relatively long, with yellow fruits, woody spice, dark chocolate and smoked plums.
