A 30-year-old Speyside single malt from Macallan, part of the Colour Collection and sold in a 70cl bottle. The collection looks to the distillery's sherry heritage, with casks seasoned using sherry from Jerez. The whisky has a natural, deep chestnut colour that comes from its time in that sherry-seasoned oak.
The label design is by artist and graphic designer David Carson, who took the evening sun on the tiled roofs of the Jerez bodegas as his inspiration.
Pineapple, dried mango, caramelised banana and crème brûlée come through on the nose, with orange oil. The palate brings tropical fruit, almond, cinnamon and nutmeg, and the finish is medium with sweet wood spice.
