The debut bottling in Macallan's Edition Series, a limited edition Speyside single malt released in 2015 in a 70cl bottle. It is drawn from eight European and American oak cask styles and sizes, chosen to show the influence of the distillery's oak cask management.
The flavour moves from soft oak notes to deeper, richer ones.
The nose has orange, apple and dried fruit, with vanilla, toffee and chocolate under the oak. The palate opens with warming wood spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, dried ginger and toffee, with fresh fruit later. The finish is soft and lingering.
