Macallan – Harmony Collection 5 Organic Cherrywood Lapsang Tea (2025) (70cl)

A Speyside single malt from Macallan, released as the fifth Harmony Collection and inspired by a black tea made by JING Tea. The collaboration is told through the ceremonial tea pet. The whisky was matured in sherry seasoned European and American oak casks. European oak brings dark fruit, toffee and warming tannins, while the American oak adds sweet oak notes. Hand selected casks give a whisp of smoke, echoing the cherrywood smoke added to the tea leaves. The colour is patinated cherrywood. The nose offers toffee, dates, warming spice, ripe berries and charred citrus peel over oak smoke. On the palate it is creamy toffee, citrus and oak spice, and it finishes on creamy, sweet oak.
