A Speyside single malt from Macallan, the second release of the Quest Collection and a travel retail exclusive, in a 70cl bottle.
It is made from European and American sherry seasoned oak casks combined with hogsheads, and is described as a warm, smooth and zesty whisky.
The nose opens softly with citrus fruits, apple and pear, then lemon zest, toffee and oak. On the palate, wood spices and ginger soften to fresh apples, sweet vanilla and soft oak. The finish is of good length, with warming fruit and spices, soft and dry.
