A 58 year old single malt Macallan, distilled in 1950 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail under its Speymalt label. It was matured in two sherry hogsheads and comes in a 70cl bottle. It is one of the oldest Speymalts the bottler has released.
The nose has rich dried fruit, sultanas, prunes and figs, with a delicate edge of peat smoke. The palate brings toasted malt and fruit cake flavours with a lingering hint of liquorice. The finish is very long.
