Mars Cosmo Blended Malt (70cl, 43%)

Cosmo is an unpeated Japanese blended malt from Mars, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The nose is fine and lively, with eau-de-vie cherry and William pear, then turns softer, malty and almost vanilla. The palate is crisp and clean, moving to raspberry, blueberry and blackberry over a tight, slate-like texture, with fresh-cut grass, peppermint and orange blossom. The finish is long and taut, with mirabelle plum, greengage, melon, candied orange and fresh fig, and the empty glass is minty and cocoa-like.
