Mars Iwai is a Japanese whisky bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It is named after Kiichiro Iwai, regarded as a quiet pioneer of whisky in Japan.
The style takes its inspiration from American whiskey. The mash bill is mostly corn, balanced with light malt, and the whisky is aged in ex-bourbon barrels. It is intended for everyday sipping, and also for mixing in a mint julep or an old fashioned.
