Nikka Discovery The Grain Whisky 2023 (70cl)

This 2023 edition of Nikka Discovery is a Japanese grain whisky, put together from distillates made at four Nikka distilleries: Miyagikyo, with its mainly column stills, Nishinomiya, which closed in 1998, and Moji and Satsuma Tsukasa, both originally set up for shochu. It is a tribute to the art of Japanese blending, and the selection was made with care across all four sites. The nose combines beeswax, aromatic herbs and fresh fruit with vanilla and soft cereal. The palate brings creamy almond sweetness and coconut milk, with vanilla, liquorice, cinnamon and ginger. The finish returns to cereals and herbs, with mint, acacia honey and floral broom and mimosa.
