Nikka From the Barrel Blended Whisky (50cl, 51.4%)

Nikka From the Barrel is a Japanese blended whisky in a 500ml bottle, bottled at 51.4% vol. It matured in hand-selected first-fill casks and goes into the bottle straight from the cask, which accounts for the firm strength. Sweet, fruity aromas of honey keep that strength in check. On the nose there is lilac, apricot, clove and leather, followed by nectarine, pepper, oak and toffee on the palate. The finish is soft and long, with plum, oak and vanilla.
