Nikka From The Barrel (51.4%)

Nikka From The Barrel is a Japanese blended whisky made from more than 100 different batches of malt and grain whiskies. After blending, the whisky goes into used barrels for a few more months, a marriage that brings the components together. It is bottled at 51.4% ABV, close to 90 British proof, a strength the Nikka blenders settled on through repeated experiments. The nose is clean and crisp, with candied cherries, sherry sweetness and vanilla. On the palate come candied orange peel, cinnamon, clove and cardamom.
