Nikka Super Rare Old is a Japanese blended whisky that combines malt and grain whiskies from Nikka's two distilleries, Yoichi and Miyagikyo.
The nose offers orchard fruit, honey and a delicate floral note that develops in the glass. The palate is smooth and malty-sweet, with hints of caramel, toasted nuts and a faint trace of smoke. The finish is soft and warming, with lingering vanilla, oak spice and a touch of dried fruit.
