Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt 17 Year Old is a Japanese blended malt aged for 17 years and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It blends malt whisky from Yoichi and Miyagikyo, the two distilleries built by Masataka Taketsuru.
The name honours him. He studied whisky production in Scotland, fell in love with a Scotswoman and went on to found Nikka Whisky.
