Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt 17 Year Old is a Japanese blended malt, aged for 17 years and bottled at 43% abv in a 70cl bottle. It combines malt whisky from Yoichi and Miyagikyo, the two distilleries Masataka Taketsuru built.
The whisky is named in his honour. Taketsuru studied whisky production in Scotland, fell in love with a Scotswoman, and went on to found Nikka.
