Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt (43%)

Nikka Taketsuru is a Japanese pure malt at 43% (86 proof), made by Nikka. It marries single malts distilled at the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, and the whisky is aged in various types of oak cask. The nose is soft and floral, with green fruits, papaya, lemon and brown sugar. On the palate come toffee, almonds, roasted nuts and custard, with touches of nutmeg and clove. The finish is full-bodied and lush, with hints of cocoa, peat and oak.
