Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt is a Japanese blended malt in a 70cl bottle at 43%, made from whiskies of the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. It is named after Masataka Taketsuru and was first released in 1984 as a tribute to him.
The whiskies are matured in ex-bourbon barrels, new American oak casks and sherry butts. It is usually described as having smooth oak, caramel and dried fruit character.
