Octomore 13.3 is the thirteenth edition of the Octomore Islay Barley series from Bruichladdich, bottled at 61.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is heavily peated and made from Concerto barley grown on Octomore Farm, two miles from the distillery. The barley was harvested in 2015 and distilled in 2016.
Part of the spirit matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and part in second-fill European oak casks that previously held wine from Rivesaltes and Ribera del Duero.
The nose combines malt sugar, green fruit, rose, geranium, apricot and eucalyptus. The palate is velvety, with honey, brown sugar, citrus zest and coconut, and smoke builds towards a long, maritime finish.

Sweet malt sugar, little peat smoke at first, green fruit, rose and geranium, apricot, eucalyptus, marzipan, ginger biscuits, honeydew melon
